The first Coleman Country Bodhran weekend

Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th October 2008

at Ceolaras Coleman, Gurteen, Co. Sligo

Registration

starts on the Saturday @ 9.00 am followed by classes starting @9.30 until 1.30 pm.
Sunday classes start @ 10.00 am untill 1.00 am.
There will be a session for all on the Saturday night at the Roisin Dubh, Gurteen, Co. Sligo.

Fee for the weekend will be 50 euro, to be paid on registration.
If only one day of tuition is required than 30 euro for the saturday and 20 euro for the sunday.

The Coleman Country Bodhrán School was established in 2006
by Andrew Martin 'Junior' Davey from Gurteen in South Sligo, Ireland.

 

'Junior' Davey is a five times All Ireland Bodhrán Champion.
He celebrates and preserves the wonderful bodhrán tradition of his area.

The Coleman Country Bodhrán School takes place at
The Coleman Traditional Irish Music Centre, located in Gurteen.

 

The Coleman Traditional Irish Music Centre features three main attractions:
The Coleman Cottage and Archive, The Music School, and The Visitors Centre & Theatre

 

The Centre contains excellent facilities for bodhrán tuition, lectures and concerts.
